Description
J.R. Moehringer discusses his book, “The Tender Bar.” He begins by discussing how growing up he found a home away from home at a local bar. He shares that when he was growing up his father, a well-known disc jockey, abandoned his mother and him. He then grew up listening to his father on the radio. Moehringer then discusses his experiences at the bar and the various characters that he met there. He goes on to explain how the male role models at the bar influenced his life. Later in the interview he shares his thoughts on his romantic relationships and the decisive role women have played in his life.
