Description
This interview was conducted as part of the North San Rafael History Project: From Ranches to Ranch Houses: The Growth of San Rafael’s Miller Creek & Las Gallinas Valleys, a collaboration of citizens in North San Rafael and the Anne T. Kent California Room, Marin County Free Library. Interviews were conducted with North San Rafael leaders & pioneers to document the history of the area since World War II, including citizen involvement to protect the quality of life and preserve the unique character and natural assets of the area. The Marin resident talks about her life in Terra Linda where she raised a family and has lived for more than 50 years. An outdoor enthusiast, Sue recalls the history of the area and her involvement in community, educational and political issues. She speaks about serving public causes in many capacities over the years, and her ongoing interests, particularly in the areas of housing and mobility for seniors.
