Description
Photograph of three people in an open automobile on Topanga Road in Garrapattas Canyon, ca.1915. The early-model car is at center, facing the viewer. A man is seated at the wheel and two women are seated in the back of the vehicle. The road is narrow and unpaved, although it is very smooth. The road is lined with a wide variety of trees and bushes, including one tree whose branches stretch across the road. Part of the hillside has been cut away to make room for the street in the background at right.
