There were four theaters named Orpheum. The first located at 125 S. Main Street; the second at 227 S. Spring Street; the third at 630 S. Broadway; and the fourth (and present one) at 842 S. Broadway, designed by G. Albert Lansburgh. The Broadway Theater and Commercial District were added to the National Register of Historical Places in 1979, #79000484. Garment industry workers are seen on an upper story of the Orpheum Theatre building. The O-R-P of the theater's mounted sign is seen left of center.
