Floyd A. Smith, 19, of 7759 Wilbur Ave., told Detective William Van Platen that he committed the robbery last Thursday and then drove to home, where he picked up his brother, Herbert Smith, 21. Van Platen quoted Floyd as saying that he and his brother then drove to Santa Monica, where they converted the loot into $100 bills."
