About one hundred women wearing light collared shirts tucked into dark shorts that extend to the knee can be seen on a grass field at center. Several volleyball nets can be seen, while a few buildings can be seen on the hill in the background. Two women can be seen sitting underneath a tree in the left foreground with their legs crossed. Photoprint reads: "Scene on mid-winter day at Griffith Park, Los Angeles" and "Los Angeles housewives enjoy a field day in mid-winter on the greens ward of Griffith playground".
