Description
Photograph of mountain climbers at Kearsarge Pass, ca.1930. Two men are visible in the center sitting down on a rocky ground. To their left, a sign can be seen which reads: "Kearsarge Pass Elevation 11,823 FT." Edgy rocks and dried branches are visible around the site ground and a small patch of snow is noticeable to their right.
The back of the photograph reads: "By [...] Independence to Onion Valley - 4 units by trail. Main cut of Sierra- Ringo(?) Canyon Park(?) [...] easy trail. East entrance to Park - good on Inyo(?) side - Park stock available at en of trail".
