Description
Photograph of a panoramic view of the construction of Union Station looking northeast from the top of the Los Angeles Gas and Electric tank, August 27, 1935. The site of the terminal is at right and is a trapezoidal area full of graded dirt. It is bordered by several wide paved streets, and numerous warehouse-style buildings can be seen in the vicinity. A tall, light colored building can be seen in the background at left, while a line of mountains can be seen through the haze in the distance. Progress on fill and construction of the terminal can be seen.
