Annotation translation: "Building a house. The master carpenter with the large beard was formerly a muslim. To the left below stands his brother, the village chief of Dadahup. He is already a christian of the second generation. The roof is completed. They are now putting the doors and windows in place. The walls come last." Annotation: "Hausbau. Der Schreinermeister mit dem grossen Bart war früher Mohamedaner. Links unten steht sein Bruder, der Dorfhäuptling von Dadahup. Er ist schon in der zweiten Generation Christ. Das Dach ist fertig, nun werden Türen & Fenster eingesetzt & zum Schluss die Wände." Stamped: "Museum der Basler Mission Basel, Missionsstrasse 21."
