Photograph caption dated August 1, 1964 reads "Rodef Sholom Temple Sisterhood has planned a bowling jamboree night Aug. 15 at 8 and 10:30 p.m. at Bowlerland, 7501 Van Nuys Blvd., Van Nuys, to raise funds for classroom furnishings and to support the temple's scholarship program. Practicing for the event are Mrs. Marshal Melnick, sisterhood president, Pacoima; Ida Hirsch, Van Nuys, and Mrs. George Magit, Sherman Oaks."
