Photograph caption dated August 6, 1957 reads, "In recognition of the demands for higher skills in modern industry, representatives of Adel Precision Products Division General Metals Corporation and the International Association of Machinists, Precision Lodge 1600 met to formally approve the Apprentice program jointly developed during the past few months. The committeemen for Adel Precision Products were W. W. Allen, Donald Hensler, George Faith, and George Morzov, while Leland G. Hewitt, Arthur Wake, Lee Davis, and William McKnight represented the Machinists. William H. Munter, Apprenticeship Standards Consultant, State of California, aided the group in the formulation of the project."
