Description
Format information questionable. Note: Als Nr. 50 publiziert im Album 'Achtzig Ansichten von der Goldküste (Westafrika) nach Originalaufnahmen des Missionars Fritz Ramseyer', Neuenburg 1895. Note translation: Published as no 50 in the album 'Achtzig Ansichten von der Goldküste (Westafrika) nach Originalaufnahmen des Missionars Fritz Ramseyer', Neuchâtel 1895. (RI). - Caption in the album: "Adow-Kwame, the chief of Abetifi. - He has been chief of the town for about ten years and because of his position is the most respected man after the King. He is friendly towards the missionaries most of the time, but his character does not evoke much trust. We see him in his warrior's headgear and robe which is covered with amulets and protective items." (PJ 07.1998).
