Compiled in 1961 from 1:24,000-scale maps of Brawley, Brawley NW, Seeley and El Centro. 7.5 minute quadrangles, surveyed in 1957. Topography from aerial photographs by photogrammetric methods and by planetable surveys by USGS and USBR. Aerial potographs taken 1953. Polyconic projection. 1927 North American datum. 10,000-foot grid based on California coordinate system, zone 6. 1000-meter Universal Transverse Mercator grid ticks, zone 11, shown in blue.
