Description
“Group, Chamba.” Group portrait of large group of men and women in traditional dress. The group are natives of the Pangi Valley in the northernmost part of the Chamba district. It was known as the ‘Prison House of Chamba’ because of its remoteness and inaccessibility. Medico-evangelistic work was undertaken amongst the Himalayan slopes and the missionary parties would endure extreme conditions to spread the Christian gospels and provide medical treatments.
