2018-3420. Bust-length portrait. From J.E.D. Baldwin Collection. Born in Kent, England in 1842, emigrating to United States around 1854. Served in Civil War in Company E, 72d Illinois Infantry (known as first Regiment of the Chicago Board of Trade). Settled in Sacramento in 1887. Member of Grand Army of the Republic, Warren Post No. 54.
