Description: This image is one in a group of donated Long Beach emergency preparedness/civil defense photos. Twelve men seated in a conference room are engaged in conversation. Tables in front of them contain paperwork, binders, portfolios, briefcases, and eight multi-extension, rotary-dial telephones. An alarm system is mounted on the wall to the left in the background. DATE NOTES: Circa 1960. ORIG. IMAGE: 8" x 10" B&W glossy print, slightly warped from moisture damage. NEGATIVE: no. KEYWORDS: Emergency planning.
