Description
Pictured in 1950 are the officers and members of Gomez Lodge Number 12 of the Caballeros of Dimas-Alang, located at 1025 Ninth St. The fraternal organization was made up of Filipino Americans and was founded in San Francisco in 1921. The group's name honors Philippine national hero Jose Rizal. Rizal's pen name for writing revolutionary tracts for the Spanish colonial period was Dimas-Alang. The group operated as a facilitator for community action and cultural promotion.
