Photograph dated July 20, 1963 shows the preparation for the Bethel Series in the Van Nuys Central Lutheran Church. The Bethel Series is an adult Bible study program that emphasizes an over-all study of the Bible through utilizing a series of "vista points". The "vista points" are illustrated with 40 painted posters, each depicting a number of Biblical concepts. The Rev. Ernest A. Gjelten, pastor of the Van Nuys Central Lutheran Church, is holding up one of the painted posters with program instructors Clark Morphew and Harold Aus.
