Photograph caption dated October 15, 1936 reads, "Photo shows the new field house, just completed at the Griffith Park Golf Course at a cost of more than $70,000. In background at left is the old clubhouse. The completion of the field house is the final link in a chain of improvements that give Los Angeles the finest and best equipped municipal golf facilities in the world. The field house will be opened formally early in November by the park commission." The clubhouse, on what is now known as the Wilson Municipal Golf Course, is located at 4730 Crystal Springs Drive.
