Photograph of a portrait of Dr. E.C. Moore (Ernest Carroll Moore), ca.1880-1910. He can be seen from the chest up facing straight ahead. He is clean shaven and has a receding hairline. He is visible wearing a three-piece suit with a long tie, and his lips are slightly pursed. He served as President of the Los Angeles State Normal School (Teachers' College). He helped to create University of California at Los Angeles and served as its first head (first as Director (of the Southern Branch), then Provost, and finally Vice-President). Superintendent of Los Angeles Schools. Retired 1936. Died in 1955.
