2018-2002. Waist-length portrait. Born in Seneca County, New York in 1840. Enlisted in San Francisco in 1861. Served in Civil War in Company B, 2d California Cavalry. Civil War service spent in Southwest - Fort Yuma, Tucson, Santa Fe, Petos River, New Mexico. Returned to California in 1892. Member of the Grand Army of the Republic, Warren Post No. 54. Also have negative: no. 3486 (6 1/2 x 4 in.); and, GL#4853 (7 x 5 in.)
