Description
Connie and Sidney begin the interview discussing how Sidney crafted his female characters to be just as competent as the male characters in the medical profession, while retaining their womanly attributes. They proceed to talk about the prevalence of sexism and misogyny in the medical profession, and the trials female doctors endure in the book’s all-male environment, before moving on to how Sidney researched the book, his future projects, and his dedication to public libraries. They then discuss Sidney’s literary upbringing and the impact his work has had on readers all over the world, and Connie closes the interview requesting an autograph for her copy of the book.
