Description
Postcard features a monochromatic image of Austrian singer Lilly (Dorn) Hertz and her husband, German-born conductor Alfred Hertz, who at this time was the music director of the San Francisco Symphony. Both are seated in an outdoor patio setting, at a table with coffee cups and a coffee pot. The handwritten note, written in red ink by Lilly Hertz on the back of the postcard, is addressed to "Mr. and Mrs. Frankel", regretting that they had not see them at the last concert, and that they had been kept busy, "thanking you once more for your kindness". The address printed on the card for Mr. Cecil Frankel is "near Vine Street, Hollywood boulevd, Cal".
