Description
Stephen begins the interview talking about the scenario he set up to explore the nature of warfare in the future. For the majority of the interview, Connie and Stephen discuss the major plot points as well as the main characters and their motivations for creating and fighting in his future war. In particular, Stephen talks about his research, for example, on politically motivated murder in Japan, advanced avionics, the American military, and the nature of serving in a peacetime military. Finally, Stephen talks about writing from why he became a writer to why he sees writing as such a personal endeavor. He also discusses his friendship with other writers working in the same genre.
