Description
"A village congregation leaving the evangelists house after Sunday morning service." Caption from Kingdom Overseas "A Hyderabad village congregation leaving the evangelist's house after a Sunday morning service. In many villages the broad verandah of the evangelist's dwelling is the only sanctuary for Christian worship." Large group of men, women and children outside house. Rev Early served in South India for over sixty years from 1914 until his death in 1975.
The first mission to India was established in Madras [now Tamil Nadu] in 1817.
