Photograph of an exterior view of the rustic cottage residence of author Jeanne C. Carr and husband Dr. Ezra C. Carr, Ph.D., ca.1895. This is the first home of the Carrs and was called "Carmelita". It was located on West Colorado Boulevard and Orange Grove Avenue, and was later Carmelita Park. The house is covered in wisteria and mountains are visible in background. The house overlooks a housing tract, and rooftops are visible at right. The house was visited by Helen Hunt Jackson, the author of Ramona.
