Title supplied by cataloger. Constructed between 1909 and 1911 to the cost of over a million dollars, the 12-story Hall of Records at 220 N. Broadway was completely demolished by September 1973.; In 1931, the California State Building was constructed. It suffered severe damage as a result of the 1971 Sylmar Earthquake and was demolished in 1976. The demolition of the Hall of Records underway on March 22, 1973, as seen from Broadway.
