A 1959 statement by Joseph Jensen, the Chairman of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, before the 32nd Annual Statewide Meeting of the California State Chamber of Commerce. In it, Jensen outlines the views of the Board of Directors of the MWD in regards to proposals to develop state water resources, imported and underground water, and the conversion of saline water to fresh water. Jensen then reveals his personal thoughts on and statistics of the cost of the California Water Plan.
