Main title on map, lower left corner; alternate title at head of page. "Cheap Farms! Good Markets! Healthy Climate!" reads the description of Southern California below the map proper. An inducement for settlers to raise all forms of crops including "opium poppies" in the luxurious surroundings of this earthly paradise. Subtle shading indicates land available for sale by Southern Pacific Co. and the Union and Central Pacific Cos. Prime meridian: GM. Relief: shaded. Projection: Cylindrical.
