Photograph caption dated March 4, 1958 reads, "From March 16 through 21 Valley high school girls take over executive spots in business, industry and government in observance of Business and Professional Women's Club's sponsored 'Girls Week.' Background from left Mrs. Muriel Morse, BPW coordinator, greets Jean Haslerud, Polytechnic High, who will be acting Mayor of Los Angeles on March 18, and Pat North, Birmingham High, chairman for Girls Week in the Valley. Seated in foreground from left are Pricilla Leahmann, Board of Education member and coordinator for Girls Week, with Mmes. Amy S. Ardouin, president, Los Angeles-Sunset District BPWC."
