The highway runs from the foreground at center to the background at left, where it disappears behind a rocky cliff. Scores of early-model automobiles can be seen parked along the sides of the road and in parking lots at right. The beach is visible in the background at right and is crowded with people and umbrellas. The ocean can be seen further in the distance at right.
