Description
Gen. Fitzhugh Lee, entering Havana, at the head of his Army, Jan. 1st, 1899, Cuba.
[Translated in French, German, Spanish, (unknown), Russian] Wide shot of a city street filled with people who part and greet the General as he rides a horse through the crowd. Underwood and Underwood sent many photographers during the Spanish-American War, and there were more stereographs produced of the Spanish-American War than any other war. Photographers produced images of action off and on the battlefield. Most of the stereographs were produced and sold in boxed sets with a companion book, however this specific image has no reference to either of those things.
