Description
The Los Angeles Motordrome, situated near Playa del Rey in Los Angeles, was opened to great success in 1910. The circular, 1-mile wood board race track primarily featured car races. As fate would have it, the structure was heavily damaged in a fire just three years later in 1913 and closed. Photoprint copyright 1910 by A.B. Dodge, L.A. Written on back: Los Angeles. Ma says if Gertie(?) + "y" were only here, we would be alright. A.E.S. + Pa were up town this P.M. I didn't go, was too tired. Will write your letter soon. - "B".
