On June 11, 1901, 31 campers left Los Angeles, hauling their supplies in horse-drawn wagons, and arrived at Yosemite Valley on June 30. The photographs taken along the way record their journey. San Joaquin River & Bridge, 1 1/2 miles north of Lanes Station -- plate 16 (ca0750). 5:40 a.m. Our camp at Lanes' Station, morning of June 25, 10 miles beyond Fresno -- plate 17 (ca0751). Lumber flume at Fresno Flats were we arrived on eve of June 16. Here the hogs eat up our mid day lunch -- plate 18 (ca0752). Arrived at Lanes Station after a hard days drive, 6/24, 3:45 PM.
