On June 11, 1901, 31 campers left Los Angeles, hauling their supplies in horse-drawn wagons, and arrived at Yosemite Valley on June 30. The photographs taken along the way record their journey.

Plate 11 (ca0745). James Reading & I had a genuine Spanish supper here. Ex good we were hungry after a long days drive. Jno De Cellis Ranch, June 14, 7:00 AM -- plate 12 (ca0746). Gorman Station, 9:30, June 16 - 01 -- plate 13 (ca0747). Adobe ruins of Ft. Tejon, June 16, 6:45 -- plate 14 (ca0748). Beautiful Barraca Tree in bloom. Roadway 2 miles north of Ft. Tejon, June 17, 9 AM -- plate 15 (ca0749). June 25, 8:10 AM. San Joaquin River & Bridge, 1 1/2 miles north of Lanes Station -- plate 16 (ca0750). 5:40 a.m. Our camp at Lanes' Station, morning of June 25, 10 miles beyond Fresno -- plate 17 (ca0751). Lumber flume at Fresno Flats were we arrived on eve of June 16. Here the hogs eat up our mid day lunch -- plate 18 (ca0752). Arrived at Lanes Station after a hard days drive, 6/24, 3:45 PM.
