Description
A red-haired woman stands in her bathing costume on the sand with ocean waves breaking in the background. The illustrator has depicted her in a modest fashion with her eyes lowered and her arms crossed against her chest. She wears a sea-foam green bathing costume accented with blue and white checked trim. Her costume is matched with sea-foam green leggings, a green and black cap and black lace-up shoes. Movement is created in this illustration with rolling waves and a soft breeze blowing her skirt behind her. Her bathing costume, made of changeable taffeta, is short, reaching just below her knees, with short sleeves, and buttons on the front of the bodice. The bands of checkered trim are on the skirt above the hem, the hems of the sleeves, and the neckline, and she has a tie belt of the same trim. Her cap is decorated with a bow of the same checkers at the front. Her black bathing slipper are cross tied up her legs.
