This postcard shows a statue dedicated to the memory of Andrew Jackson Stevens, a native of Vermont who went on to become a master builder of early Southern Pacific Railroad locomotives. Located at Sacramento's Park Plaza at Ninth and J Streets, the memorial was dedicated on Thanksgiving Day 1889.
