Photograph was edited for publication purposes
Photograph caption dated April 17, 1964 reads, "Martin Levin, 50, is carried from his fire-gutted apartment on a stretcher with Los Angeles Fireman John Michelangelo hovering over him, after being trapped by a wall of flames. Rescue unit 39 attended Levin, 14340 Addison St., Van Nuys, late yesterday. Cause of the fire is yet undetermined."
