Managing Editor of this newspaper since February, 1947, Berger has a broad understanding of the Valley, its people, problems and interests. He has been in daily contact with the amazing growth and development of all sections of the area. During his service with the Valley Times, Berger has worked with Chambers of Commerce throughout the Valley, civic organizations and valley leaders on many community enterprises... Berger came to the Valley Times from the Los Angeles Herald and Express where he was City Editor. Prior to that position, after working in Chicago and San Francisco, he joined the Los Angeles bureau of the Associated Press. Later he moved to the Los Angeles Times and for several years served as City Editor of that paper."
