Description: Exterior view of Rancho San Pedro Housing Project, built in 1939-1941 at Santa Cruz and Center Streets, designed by Reginald Johnson, collaborating architect. This was the first phase of the pre-war housing project. A later phase began 1951-1952. (Johnson did not work on this.) Here children are seen playing outside their new apartments.
