Description
Sacramento High School's belltower sits prominently in this circa 1925 postcard. The 43-foot-high feature was removed in 1976, deemed unsafe in view of the state earthquake safety standards. Built in 1924, the brick and mortar school went through various other retrofits in 1976 to stay in compliance.
