Description
Construction of monastery annex as seen from the east, Mount Wilson Observatory. The Monastery served as a dormitory for visiting scientists. In this photograph, the annex is being constructed; the first-story concrete walls are complete and scaffolding extends to the second story walls that are being created. An automobile is parked in front on the annex. Various pieces of construction equipment are seen throughout the area.
