Description
Photograph of a wounded whale on Sun Set Beach, ca.1910. The long body of a whale rests on a stretch of sand near the ocean's edge. The textured lines of the while are visible while the middle of the whale appears to be injured leaving the animals internal workings exposed. Footprints of animals and humans are visible on the sand in front of the whale while the waves of the ocean can be seen washing ashore behind the whale.
