Description
The Valley to Vietnam series, produced by Sacramento Public Library, traces the arc of experience of Vietnam era veterans living in the Sacramento, California area. Winters-native Jim McCoey provides a fascinating window into life in the Sacramento Valley prior to Vietnam. He would eventually serve as a platoon leader in a rapid reaction force with the 101st Airborne Division and then enjoy a satisfying career in the food industry.
