Description
Panoramic group portrait standing on grassy area in front of a cedar-shingled building, with what appears to be a tennis court behind them. "Ye Hoo Hoo Inn" has been written on the negative on the side of the building; there is a sign on the roof of the building beginning "The..." which cannot be seen. Full title of the photo: Los Angeles Guests of San Francisco Realty Board, Outing & Luncheon, Hoo Hoo Inn, Cupepertina [sic] Calif. Feb. 18, 1922." [Note: The Hoo Hoo Inn or Hoo Hoo House was an old roadhouse in the Monte Vista area of Cupertino, on or near Hoo Hoo Hill; it reportedly served alcohol during Prohibition. Hoo Hoo Way existed in Cupertino until it was changed to Carmen Hill. It burned down in 1926.]
