Photograph of a view of the entrance to the Figueroa Street Tunnel, ca.1937. The concrete mouth of the tunnel is at center. The opening is arch-shaped and triangular sections of concrete hold back the steep hillside. Several automobiles, including a pickup truck, can be seen emerging from the tunnel. A wide concrete sidewalk is visible at left. A steep brushy hill rises above the tunnel.
