Carlson (left), 5874 Rolling Road, Woodland Hills, president of the Woodland Hills Chamber of Commerce, presents a pioneer Award to the Valley Times TODAY for its general news emphasis and editorial presentation during the 1961 Fourth of July "Freedom Season." The chamber plans to continue the patriotic project. Accepting the award for the newspaper is Opinion Page Editor Don Tait, 8203 Fallbrook Ave., Canoga Park."
