Description
View across the lawn and gardens toward the main entrance of the Vendome Hotel. A gazebo sits on the lawn in front of the hotel. The hotel opened in 1889 on the 11 acre estate of Josiah Belden, an early mayor of San Jose. For many years it was the most luxurious hotel in San Jose. The hotel was demolished in 1930 and replaced with houses.
