Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated August 3, 1963 reads, "The inbound lanes of the Golden State Freeway in Sun Valley took on the look of a pasture early today when five tons of hay slipped off a trailer onto the freeway shoulder near Sheldon St. Police said the freeway on-ramp was closed from 7 to 7:45 a.m. while the scattered bales of hay were cleared from the slow lane. Drivers of the hay truck are dragging the bales out of the roadway."
