Description
Photograph shows nuns worshipping in the private chapel at the Convent of Dominican Sisters at Mission San Jose. Three nuns of the Dominican Sisters of the Queen of the Holy Rosary arrived in San Francisco in 1876. After the 1906 earthquake, the Motherhouse of the order moved from San Francisco to Mission San Jose.
